Ten comes in the set. Picture number three are the three coupler tongues. As noted in the instructions, one of the tongues is already installed on one of the cars.

Picture number four are the bumpers and landing gear. All the enclosed pieces are present and accounted for. Package may have imperfections from "shelf life". Imperfections can include defects such as, but not limited to: wear to the outer box, dinged corners, the box may be crushed in spots, original price stickers, discoloration to packaging, etc.
